I’m going to talk about the notion of myths and heroes
To start with, I’d like to give a definition of a myth and a hero. A myth is a popular believe, a tradition or false idea, on which, social values are often bases. A hero is a person admire for his or her actions and can be consider as a model.
To my mind, the theme which best illustrates the notion is the mafia in the US. In fact, the myth of the mafioso with a fedora hat and a three-piece suit is in all minds. Furthermore, nowadays, lot of them like Al Capon are still admired and considered as heroes.
We may wonder to what extent Mafia gangsters in the US could be perceived as both attractive and repulsive figure.
